Some children are apprehensive about joining in, saying ‘I’m not very good at art’.  My way around this is to explain that with art, there are no right and wrong answers.  Unlike numeracy where there is one correct answer, with art there are many, many answers and all of them are right.  It’s about confidence building, having fun and creating something new!

ChildrenWork-2

Finger painting to create texture as opposed to a ‘flat’ surface.

ChildrenWork-3

A productive mornings work!

ChildrenWork-4

Sprinkling ‘Angelina fibres’ onto painted seaweed.  Once ironed, the fibres will melt and add another layer of gorgeous colour!

ChildrenWork-5

Working on designs for cushions for the school library!

ChildrenWork-6

A self portrait in the making! I adore all the self portraits that the children create. I never tire of these projects – I love the honesty and the humour in their depictions.

ChildrenWork-7

A collaged path (for ‘The Good Samaritan’).

ChildrenWork-8

Designing and painting some seriously funky robes for a shepherd! I love the fabric designs the children come up with!

ChildrenWork-9

Colour mixing for seaweed.

ChildrenWork-10

Gorgeous textured trees and leaves. Children do love to use their hands to paint!
